Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Scenescaper (“the service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Scenescaper provides ambient sound environments for sleep, focus and relaxation. You may use the service without an account to listen to public scenes. Creating and saving your own scenes requires a free account.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• You may not create accounts for others or use the service on behalf of another person without their consent.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User-generated content

When you create a scene and make it public, you grant Scenescaper a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that scene to other users of the service.

You retain ownership of your scenes. You may delete them at any time.

You must not create scenes or content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes on a third party's rights.

5. Third-party services

The service integrates with the following third-party sources:

• Radio Browser - live radio streams. Stream availability is outside our control.
• Internet Archive - public domain spoken word audio.

We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party streams.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service
• Circumvent any security or access control measures
• Use automated tools to create accounts or scenes in bulk

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that audio streams will always be available. Use of sleep or focus audio is at your own discretion - it is not a substitute for medical advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scenescaper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
